To configure your paddle, you will need to choose a shaft and a handle. For shafts we also offer the Ke Nalu Quick Clamp uni-directional carbon adjustable ($30 extra). For handles we also offer the Ke Nalu very versatile Extended Ergo T handle ($50 extra) and the Long Extended Ergo T with Adjustable Bracket ($58 extra) as selectable options. These fit Ke Nalu paddle shafts only.
The xTuf shaft is a great shaft for coupling with our larger blades since it reduces the catch shock and stores energy for launching you into waves and swells. Tests at approximately 60 KFI (Ke Nalu Flex Index).
The xTuf(S) shaft is perfect for any racer with shoulder or joint problems. Ideal for downwinders or surfers who like some flex but require greater paddle control. Tests at approximately 70 KFI.
The Quick Clamp Adjustable shaft giving paddle lengths from 56″ – 86″ is ideal for shared, friends or family use. It can also be used as a temporary travel paddle with the longest section being only 3′.
All feature pre-preg uni-directional carbon fiber construction with a textured ‘sharkskin’ finish. The uni-directional carbon fiber is wound in an alternating bias so that the shaft offers resistance to bending and torque, but the flex is greater than our Elite shafts.
The xTuf shafts provide a stacking effect, becoming progressively stiffer as the load increases and give a little twang prior to exiting the water. Great for propelling you into waves or runners on a downwinder. Our shafts have a slightly smaller diameter than is typical and are tapered to provide a controlled flex between the upper and lower hands.
