Red Paddle Co 2018 inflatable stand up paddle board product guide

It’s here, the time has come! Red Paddle Co 2018 boards have been announced and once again, Red Paddle Co are taking inflatable stand up paddle boards to the next level. Features aplenty for the 2018 Red Paddle Co range, so let’s get right into it with the 2018 product catalog.

With 25 models in the complete 2018 Red Paddle Co inflatable stand up paddle board range, there is one all new model for 2018, the 15′ Voyager Tandem. In the range you’ll see a couple of name changes to streamline the families of boards and name them more in line with their purpose in the range. The Explorer is now the Voyager, the Race has been folded into the Elite family, the Flow is now the Wild and the Windsurf board names have been streamlined. There is also a 10th Anniversary Special Edition 10’6″ Ride, in a very lovely purple.

So upon review, what is new for 2018 in the Red Paddle range: Details, details, details, it’s all in the details. After the revolutionary MSL technology was introduced for the 2016 model year, Red Paddle Co have continuously tweaked, upgraded and refined the details to make these boards the most authentic and complete inflatable SUPs on the market. Improved handles, updated fins and finboxes, better deck pads, nicer bags and a faster and more efficient Titan Pump.

Red Paddle Co 2018

Ok, so let’s take the marketing excitement down a notch and look at what is new.

In the past boards were glued together adding weight and the possibly of hand gluing errors, MSL or Monocoque Structural Laminate is a process that involves industrially fusing the second layer of PVC to the drop-stitch core at the raw material stage. The result is an inflatable board that is stronger, stiffer, more durable and even lighter, up to 5% lighter than normal double layer boards. Further refined for 2018, MSL it still the market leading technology for inflatable SUP construction. A technology patented and used exclusively by Red Paddle Co so don’t believe others who claim to have MSL boards.

Across most of the range, the cargo area has been extended to a 6 d-ring system, giving you more space to carry items or gear. For the Red Paddle Co 2018 range, they now also include a second bungee in the package if you want a tighter or more secure fitting. Of note, Red Paddle Co now includes FCS fins with the Whip, Sport, Voyager and Wind boards. FCS are a leader in fin technology and quality. For 2018, the fins include a thumb screw securing system for easy tool-less insertion and removal with a safe and secure locked in fin at all times.

The next most notable update to the range are the Race boards now being a part of the Elite family and now include the FFC or Forward Flex Control rod. The carbon FFC rod aids in stiffness of the nose of the board allowing paddlers to go harder and faster and obtain near hard board like performance and speeds.

Several of the boards feature the new for 2018 All Terrain bag. Sold with the Rides, Sports and Voyager boards, the All Terrain bag features an improved strap stash system, more comfortable carry straps, more sturdy zippers and stitching and an internal fin pocket. The fastest pump on the market, The Red Paddle Co Titan Pump, gets further refinement with new seals and helpful instructional graphics. The requisite color and graphics updates to most of the models also set them apart as a premium product.
