Red Paddle Co Future Range: The Best Just Got Better

From compact travel boards to performance powerhouses, Red Paddle Co’s 2025 Future Range redefines what an inflatable paddleboard can be.

What Is the Future Range?

Red Paddle Co is no stranger to innovation. With the new Future Range, they’re building on more than 15 years of experience to deliver their most refined collection yet—spanning cruisers, racers, touring boards, and the revolutionary Compact line. The result? A lineup of boards built not only for performance but for longevity, comfort, and versatility across every paddling style.

These aren’t entry-level boards. The Future Range represents the pinnacle of Red’s design, engineering, and sustainability efforts—ideal for paddlers who want premium quality that lasts.

What’s New in 2025?

  • 11’3″ Cruiser: A brand-new shape designed for recreational paddling, combining the stability of a Ride with the glide of a Sport.
  • Sport+ 14′ x 28”: A fast cruiser that’s more forgiving and beginner-friendly than a race board.
  • Elite 12’6″ and 14’: Enhanced with Forward Flex Control for maximum stiffness and racing performance.
  • Revamped Voyager Range: Sleeker, lighter touring boards with improved tracking and rigidity.
  • New Ride Shapes: Introducting the 11’6″, more maneuverable with better overall feel.
  • More Travel-Friendly: Compact boards now benefit from lighter materials and smarter folding, without compromising performance.

Red Paddle Co Compact Boards: Ultimate Portability

Red Paddle Co pioneered compact inflatables, and they’ve perfected them with the latest Compact range. These boards fold in half and roll into a backpack that’s half the size of a standard SUP bag—perfect for travel, apartment living, or anyone tight on storage space.

Built using MSL 1000 material—1 kg lighter per square meter than standard MSL—these boards don’t just pack small, they paddle big.

Compact 9’2″: Light and Agile

At 29″ wide and 3.9″ thick, the 9’2″ Compact is ideal for paddlers under 85 kg who want maneuverability for casual cruising or surf. Weighing just 7 kg, it’s incredibly nimble, though less suited for long-distance paddling.

Compact 11′: Versatile Favorite

The 11′ Compact strikes the perfect balance at 32″ wide and 4.7″ thick. It’s great for paddlers up to 110 kg and shines across a variety of conditions, offering real performance in a portable package.

Performance You Can Feel: Stiffness & Deflection

Red tests all boards using a deflection test: suspending the board over 1.5m with a 75 kg weight and measuring flex. For context:

  • Sport Plus 14′, Voyager, and Elite: 8 mm deflection – among the stiffest boards available
  • Compact 11′: 13 mm (no RSS battens, but impressively stiff)
  • Compact 9’2″: 21 mm – expected due to thinner 3.9” profile, but still performs well in practice

What matters most is not just lab stiffness, but real-world feel. Red’s Elite, for example, uses the Forward Flex Control rod to minimize flex during paddling strokes, making it feel stiffer than its deflection score suggests.

Thoughtful Features Across the Range

  • Raised kick pads for better step-back turns
  • Chunky, padded handles, some removable for performance use
  • Wide, easy-to-adjust bungee systems for securing gear
  • 6mm accessory mounts for cameras and bottle cages
  • Fin options:
    • Standard US box with 9″ recyclable fin
    • Compact boards: twin fin tool-free click-in setup
    • Elite: glass fiber honeycomb race fins
  • Speed Tail on Sport, Voyager, and Elite boards for enhanced glide

Pumps and Packs: Ready for Adventure

Every board includes Red’s legendary Titan Pump, making inflation faster and easier than ever. For portability, Compact boards include a full-size Titan pump that fits perfectly into their uniquely small backpack.

The ATB Transformer Backpack included with most boards features modular straps, wheels, and tons of storage flexibility—perfect for travel or off-grid exploration.

Built to Last, Built for the Planet

As a proud B Corp, Red Paddle Co takes sustainability seriously:

  • Boards are made to last, not be replaced every few seasons
  • Spare parts are stocked even for 10+ year-old boards
  • Materials are chosen for strength and repairability
  • Recyclable and modular designs reduce waste

It’s more than marketing—Red’s commitment to quality and sustainability means your investment pays off over time.

Which Future Range Board Is Right for You?

  • Ride 11’6″: A great all-rounder for most paddlers
  • 11’3″ Cruiser: More glide and room to grow
  • Voyager or Sport Plus 14′: Ideal for touring and speed
