A very unique event just took place in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Surf & Paddle All Stars Invitational. The surfing was held in the wave pool at Wadi Adventure theme park, while the sprint races were held at the Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club.
What makes this event so unique, aside from the wave pool and racing on inflatable stand up paddle boards, the winners are decided by their overall performance in both disciplines. With a 1st in the waves and 3rd in the racing, Zane Schweitzer won the mens division. Below is a video of some of his wave pool action. The forecast is always the same, the waves always perfect!
In the womens division, Olivia Piana won overall with a 1st in the racing and a 2nd in the surfing.
