Starboard SUP Paddle Range
The 2025 Starboard paddle range includes four models: Enduro, Lima, Velocity, and the new Foil Blade. Starboard has retained their well-established models and added two new designs to better serve a wide range of paddlers, from beginners to elite racers.
Enduro: A versatile, long-standing model ideal for beginners, recreational paddling, and SUP surfing. It features a 13° blade angle, a refined connection between blade and shaft, and a new grippy shaft texture. Available in various constructions including top-end Prepreg Carbon, standard Carbon, Balsa, and Tiki Tech. It’s offered in one-piece, two-piece, and three-piece options, with adjustable shaft diameters and stiffness levels.
Velocity: Positioned between the Enduro and Lima, this is a high-performance paddle designed for long-distance racing and touring. It has a longer, narrower blade, a 14° angle for an extended reach, double concaves for water stability, and thin, angled winglets for clean entry. Only available in Prepreg Carbon, with various shaft diameters and stiffness levels. Though not as powerful as the Lima, it’s easier on the shoulders and suited for long sessions. Intermediate paddlers will benefit most from this model. It can be used for occasional SUP surfing but isn’t ideal for wave power or control.
Lima: The fastest and most powerful paddle in the range, designed for competitive racing. It features deep concaves, structural ribs on the back to reduce volume and flex, and a stiff, square-tipped blade for maximum power and water hold. Available in multiple constructions (Prepreg Carbon, Carbon, Tiki Tech) and sizes (XS to XXL), it’s ideal for experienced paddlers seeking sprint performance. However, it can be tiring over long distances due to the added shoulder load.
Foil Blade: Designed specifically for SUP foiling (flatwater, downwind, or surf). It shares many features with the Velocity—thin profile, winglets, central concave, and a clean catch—but with a completely different outline optimized for foiling. It offers smooth water entry and minimal resistance, helping paddlers maintain efficiency when foiling. Available in two-piece Prepreg and Carbon constructions with different stiffness options.
Each paddle shape is purpose-built, with varied design characteristics, materials, and sizing to meet the needs of different paddlers and disciplines. The 2025 Starboard paddle range caters to casual users, touring paddlers, racers, and foilers alike.
