The first shipment of new 2022 inflatable SUPs from Starboard has arrived. Some models like the Zen and All Star Airlines ranges carry over from 2021, but all the iGO and Touring Deluxe boards have been updated. The updated 2022 boards feature a slight graphics update and a few size tweaks for some of the specialty Tikhine boards. Let’s have a look at the range and what’s changed.
2022 Starboard iGO Inflatable All Round Paddle Boards
The Starboard 2022 iGO inflatable paddle boards are known for being steady, having good speed and being super easy to turn while stepping back onto the wide tail area.
The all round board’s straight outline helps to paddle straight and you can paddle more strokes on one side before you need to swap over, which also helps comfort and even increases the overall speed. This is the perfect paddle board range option for first-time paddlers, families with pets and anyone who wants less fuss and more enjoyable water time anywhere.
Experience the Starboard difference even before entering the water, these lightweight paddle boards feature the trademark Starboard shoulder carry strap which allows you to effortlessly carry it to the water, with both hands free! Before you get on board, you can secure yourself with the included flat lightweight leash, paddle safely and comfortably knowing your board is a life raft. The Bungee straps at the nose are good for storing all sorts of dry bags or gear on your next big SUP adventure.
Looking more modern for 2022, the boards feature new deck texture graphics.
2022 Starboard Touring Inflatable Paddle Boards
The overall balanced glide experience and premium features are what have made Starboard’s Touring paddle boards become the world’s highest-rated by magazines and customers’ favourite worldwide.
The Touring boards continue their wide nose and squarer tail shape for a more stable ride, especially for harsh conditions like side chop and moderate wind.

The Edge release technology reduces drag by creating a laminar flow behind the board while the Welding technology makes the board stronger and last longer.
The Touring S models proved to be very popular in 2021 and continue for 2022. They provide a faster, sleeker touring board for light weight paddlers, or those wanting to cover more ground, quicker.
New for 2022, the boards feature deck texture graphics. The Tikhine Wave board is now 28″ wide, down from 30″. Coupled with the 4.75″ thickness, it is better suited to lighter paddlers.
2022 Starboard All Star Airline Racing Inflatable Paddle Boards
The 2022 All Star Inflatable paddle boards, featuring Starboard’s patented Airline technology, are faster than most hard boards. For 2021 they enhanced the shape and they share the outline of their world championship winning All Star hard board design, this continues into 2022.
The tensioned aramid cable running over the board’s underside is covered by a new carbon stringer that increases both the stiffness and reflex sensation of the board. Woven Fusion drop stitch technology maintains the board at its lightweight. The cutting edge standing tray is another innovation securing stability, control and comfort, while the edge release technology reduces drag by creating a laminar flow behind the board.
Updated composite board inspired outlines throughout. A new carbon stringer on the underside for extra stiffness and reflex sensation. Revised board look with the darker carbon stringer and new bag graphics.
2022 Starboard Zen Inflatable Paddle Boards
Starboard’s Zen Inflatable SUP range carry over from 2021 into 2022. The Zen construction is the leanest, lightest and most budget friendly construction. Stripped down to the core essentials.
Built with single layer linear drop stitch, double rail band and heat welded rails. The new tool-less fin system is quick and easy to set up. Linear alignment of space yarns, oriented only in warp direction (the direction of the board’s length), maximizing the stiffness and response. Linear drop stich also secures the board’s shape better over time compared to standard knitted drop stitch. Linear drop stich with single layer coating is the lightest offering in Starboard’s collection.
Outlines match the Deluxe Touring and iGO range for the Zen models as well.
2022 Starboard Surf Inflatable Paddle Board
Starboard just pumped up the action with their surf inflatable paddle board, with woven fusion and double chamber construction, maximizing stiffness and hard board feel.
Based on their classic surf composite outlines, the narrow nose does not get caught through turns, the wide standing area gives stability and pulled in tail makes for reactive turning.
This board’s design was on the money last year so the only changes are the new deck texture graphics.
