I’m really excited about this announcement. Back in the day, my former life as a (semi) pro kiteboarder, I was sponsored by Naish. A brand that to me, always stuck by the core values of the sport, produced gear that was designed by riders, for riders. Cliché, I know, but I was lucky enough to be living on Maui in some of the boom times for kiteboarding. I saw Don Montague, Naish kite designer at the time, play with prototype after prototype. Hundreds of boards lined up on the beach for testing, and me, just a lowly team rider from Australia giving feedback in the midst of windsurf, kitesurf and SUP royalty, Robby Naish.
Anyway, fast forward to 2015 and Naish has one of the most complete line-ups in the stand up paddle boarding arena. Inflatable leisure cruising boards right through to high end full carbon racing machines and impossibly small wave slayers. But right now, we’re just interested in their Air Series, the inflatable models.
