Setting the inflatable SUP valve head for inflation and deflation

We like to keep our customers informed and following several inquiries about the correct technique for pumping up your inflatable SUP, and the correct valve head (or plunger) position for inflation, deflation and storage, we decided to add a short video to our original article about SUP inflation and valve head positioning. Read that guide over here.

The video below more precisely illustrates the functionality of the valve head and the recommended position during inflation, deflation or storage.

For the first time SUP pumper, it’s not immediately apparent that the valve head needs to be closed during inflation. The valve in this position allows air in, but not out, which gives you the chance to attach the valve cap for a secure and sealed board.
