How to use the K-Pump Kwik Check pressure gauge

The K-Pump Kwik Check Standard Pressure Gauge is a handy accessory to have as part of your inflatable stand up paddle boarding kit. Yes, the standard pumps come with pressure gauges but since those gauges only work when you’re pumping, they work well but aren’t perfect. In steps the Kwik Check Gauge from K-Pump and they have an easy to read, easy to use and accurate gauge ready to use on most inflatable SUPs out of the box.

The gauge was a natural progression for K-Pump since their pumps don’t feature built in gauges but they do get you to very high pressures, very easily, necessitating the use of a gauge to prevent over inflation. The K-20 and taller K-220 are the SUP specific pumps by K-Pump.

This gauge is made with an adjustable valve head depressor. The gauge is preset to work on Leafield and Halkey-Roberts (Red Paddle Co) configured valves. Most of you won’t need to adjust the valve head depressor so you can jump right into using it.

  • Remove board valve cap
  • Push gauge onto valve so that it depresses valve head and opens inner valve seal but the gauge adaptor plugs the whole stopping air from escaping
  • Read gauge

That’s it! It really is that simple.
