SUP Rocker Stiffening Technology with Red Paddle Co

By looking at how and where a board flexes we have developed and patented the Rocker Stiffening System (RSS) to increase rigidity. It works by inserting stiffening battens along the rails of the board. The battens then work against the downward force of the rider to produce a stiffer board by preventing flex – similar to how a stringer works on a hard board. The stiffening battens are removable for easy board rolling and can be stored in the carry bag for transportation to and from the water.

Engineered to work. See our side by side comparison of the RSS batten effectiveness.

While the RSS batten has been shaped to give the best stiffness, the pocket into which it fits is also built to the highest quality. We build the pocket separately before laminating it to the board to ensure the very best fit and performance. No detail is missed to ensure the RSS system works to it’s full potential.

The RSS system is fitted to various boards to improve stiffness, you won’t believe how much stiffer the boards are. Depending on rider weight and inflation pressures they are up to 50% stiffer than other inflatable boards of the same size and thickness. It is now possible for 220lbs+ riders to ride the shorter boards and adding it to the 12’6″ Race means the board is faster than you thought possible. The heavier the rider, the more the RSS comes into play.

A revolution in inflatable board performance, our patented RSS System comes from our focus on only building inflatable boards and our belief that riding an inflatable board should not mean you have to compromise on performance, looks or quality.

RSS works in conjunction with the Tec Air technology for inflatable SUPs.
