2019 Fanatic Fly Air and Fly Air Premium inflatable paddle board range

Since starting to work with Fanatic stand up paddle boards early last season, we have been pleasantly surprised with the product quality, performance and excellent pricing. Fanatic are no strangers to the SUP world and while they’ve had a slow start in the US market, they are a very popular and well known brand around the world.

We had a small selection of boards during last season and they sold well, so well in fact that we’ve expanded our selection of sizes to include all of the Fly Air boards in the regular and Premium versions.

I’ve actually had a personal connection to the brand from my professional kitesurfing days I was sponsored by Naish through the Australian distributor, who was also the Fanatic, North (and now Duotone) distributor, among others. Part of the distributor team included riders that went on to become national and world kitesurfing champions (I could only manage state champion) and elite international world tour level paddlers representing Fanatic and Australia.

Before we get too carried away reminiscing, let’s take a look at the current Fanatic SUP catalog, especially the Fanatic inflatable paddle boards, starting on page 10.

Double Layer Light Technology (DL LIGHT)

The Double Layer Light technology is Fanatic’s Premium construction. Featuring a second PVC layer, which is welded directly to the core layers and around the V-Drop Stitch material. An additional third layer of coloured rail bands round off the highly durable and premium quality, with stylish optics of the deck print.The benefits of the Double Layer Light construction when compared to the standard Double Layer technology is a 20 – 25 % reduction in weight, and around 25 – 30 % increase in stiffness. This is similar to Red Paddle Co’s MSL and Starboard’s Deluxe fusion construction.

Stringer Technology (STR)

Utilising the best Drop Stitch material available on the market, our Stringer technology provides an outstanding durability / weight / price / performance ratio with its centre stinger keeping the shape strong and stiff, while reducing weight and price at the same time. This is similar to Starboard’s Zen construction.

We have almost all these boards in stock and ready to ship. Those that aren’t available now, will be ready to go in early March. Don’t delay, we expect them to sell well.
