2019 Starboard inflatable stand up paddle board guide

2019 Starboard Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Boards

Welcome to Starboard’s 2019 stand up paddle board range. In 2019, Starboard is celebrating 25 years of innovation and quality. Constantly pioneering new styles, techniques and technologies, 2019 is no different with Starboard’s stand up paddle board range. First and foremost for the 2019 inflatable paddle board range, is Welding technology.

This new welding technology used on all of the 2019 Starboard inflatable SUPs, turns 2 pieces of PVC material into a single solid unit, resulting in an extra strong mechanical bond. A mechanical bond is stronger, lasts longer and better for the environment. Welding creates a completely airtight seam, without the risk of a glue weakening over time.

Starboard Inflatable Paddle Boards 2019

With lots of updates to much of the range, we will just focus on the inflatable SUPs.

2019 Starboard Touring Inflatable SUPs

The 2019 Touring boards are now narrower through the mid section, with a wider tail. This makes for even faster glide, even more stability and more manoeuvrability. It is also easier to hold the paddle closer and more vertical, which improves tracking and reduces the amount of times you have to switch the paddle from side to side when paddling.

2019 Starboard iGO Inflatable SUPs

The all round range has been developed into the iGO family of boards. The Whopper becomes the 10′ x 33″ iGO, the Drive is now the 10’4″ x 32″ iGO, the Blend is the 11’2″ x 32″ iGO, the Atlas is the 12′ x 33″ iGO. The iGO range also features a new shape, the 10’8″ x 33″ iGO which is suited to beginners and/or larger paddlers. Each board comes in the Zen and Deluxe Double Chamber constructions.

2019 Starboard Zen Lite Inflatable SUPs

Added to the Zen and Deluxe constructions for 2019, is a 3rd construction style. Named the Zen Lite, it is a budget oriented version of the Zen boards. The board is designed to bring the Starboard design, quality and premium materials to people with an eye on their wallet. Featuring the essentials at Starboard’s renowned level of workmanship and quality, the Zen Lite opens the door to new paddlers into the Starboard family.
