How to stow your 3 piece paddle in your Red Paddle Co inflatable SUP bag

Introduced in the 2017 Red Paddle Co bag, the elastic paddle slots are a handy way to keep your 3 piece paddle safely stowed and packed inside your board bag. It features 3 elastic slots for each paddle section with handy outlines to help you insert the right pieces into the right slot. However, getting the paddle blade section into the slots may not be readily apparent to the first time user. We created this video as a helpful guide to getting your paddle packed away securely.

You’ll notice I cheat a little when inserting the main shaft, I usually like to keep the adjustable handle section in the main shaft, especially with the LeverLock system. There are fewer pieces to deal with, it doesn’t make the shaft too much longer and it preserves the rubber end of the LeverLock system.

How to pack your 3 piece SUP paddle

  • Insert blade section first
  • Slide shaft through and out of bag
  • Slot blade into pocket
  • Slide main shaft section into pocket
  • You can also remove handle section and stow separately
  • Keep LeverLock open
